A lot of people know the famous Antelope Canyon for being slot canyons that you have to hike through on Navajo land — however not too many know that you can kayak through them as well! ✈️ Make sure to follow for more hidden gems & itineraries 🤗 ‼️This is for experienced kayakers only or going with a tour. The water can randomly change making it very windy. Bring a lot of snacks, water & sunscreen. Know our ability before you go! I do not recommend paddleboarding ‼️ This distance I said on the video starts from Salt Lake City, Utah all the way down to Page, Arizona. If you didn’t want to road trip as far, you could fly in to St. George, Utah where the drive is only 2 1/2 hours, but this is a great stop if you’re wanting to do a roadtrip. Kayaking Antelope Canyon is in Lake Powell where the more you kayak in to the canyon the more narrow it gets. At the end, the water runs out & you can get out & hike through slot canyons. Eventually though it does cut off as the famous Antelope Canyon is protected & you need to pay to access it with a guide. But kayaking & going through this area of the slot canyons is a great alternative as it is free. You can also go on jet ski or small boat as long as you keep it wakeless. Keep in mind that all paddle boarders/ kayakers/ boaters etc need to complete a mussel certification course online & you need to bring your completion with you whenever you’re on the water. Overall kayaking from the marina to the end of the canyon & back takes about 5 hours depending on how far you’re wanting to explore the slot canyon at the end also.
