Este video en animación 2D, llamado #CasinoColombia, fue producido en 2006 por los estudiantes, con el apoyo de los profesores de la IED Santa Bárbara en Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá, Colombia. Fui su tutor en ese proceso, como parte del proyecto Ojo al ZOOM de la Secretaría de Educación de Bogotá D.C. y el Centro de Comunicación Social Paulinas. En 2021, gracias a quien fue una de las estudiantes del proyecto y parte del equipo de esta producción, Sandra Lizarazo, logramos recuperar el producto con el ánimo de preservarlo y publicarlo. En el momento actual de #Colombia, este producto resulta premonitorio y muy relevante. Lo publico sin monetización alguna, además porque usa músicas comerciales (que ya veremos si pasan el filtro de las plataformas). Lo publico además con mucha emoción y nostalgia, y con sentimientos de admiración hacia los estudiantes (entonces eran niñas y niños de diferentes grados de educación primaria y secundaria), hacia los profes de la IED en aquel momento, y hacia los que fueron nuestros compañeros del proyecto Ojo al ZOOM. Los dibujos originales también los he recuperado y estoy publicando en redes sociales ese material. CASINO COLOMBIA, 15 AÑOS DESPUÉS. Los años han pasado pero las necesidades que el equipo ponía de manifiesto en este producto de animación, hecho con los recursos más básicos imaginables, siguen tristemente tan o más vigentes que entonces en el país, que hoy está sumergido en una crisis social, económica, ambiental, sanitaria y política muy profunda. La voz de las niñas y niños de Ciudad Bolívar, de todas las épocas pasadas y futuras, y del presente, deben ser tomadas en serio, deben ser escuchadas por los tomadores de decisiones. Otra realidad nos tocaría vivir si alguien se hubiera tomado la molestia de haber comenzado un camino de transformación en los ámbitos que este video señala, durante estos 15 años que han pasado desde entonces. Ojalá nunca más tengamos que hacer un video para señalar que a este país se lo están feriando, que a nuestras instituciones educativas se las han estado jugando, y que han jugado con la vida de nosotros y sobre todo, de los más jóvenes. Nuestra vida ha sido jugada al toruro en el #CasinoColombia; las niñas y niños lo saben mejor que los adultos, o por lo menos, se atreven a manifestarlo sin temor ni hipocresía. Estas niñas y niños han tenido destinos diversos y me enorgullece saber que han obtenido grandes logros en sus vidas. Algunos de ellos son educadores, otros trabajadores de diferentes áreas y profesiones, e incluso alguna de estas niñas hoy en día atiende personas en Unidades de Cuidado Intensivo en Bogotá durante esta dura pandemia de la COVID19.
